WELCOME

Welcome to NG Sports Massage Ballyclare. I’m Nichola, a female sports massage therapist and runner based in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland. I understand the physical demands placed on women’s bodies — whether from running, work, or everyday life — and how massage can help ease aches, strains, and tension.

Over time, I’ve come to appreciate that the body can hold onto both physical and emotional tension. My studio offers a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, relax, and allow your body to gently release some of that built-up tension at its own pace.

Conveniently located beside my home, my studio provides a friendly, professional environment focused on comfort, care, and supporting your recovery.

NG Sports Massage Ballyclare is now a Women-only Practice.

So who can benefit from sports massage

Sports massage isn’t just for athletes — it’s for women who want to move better, feel more comfortable in their bodies, and manage everyday aches and stiffness.

Whether you’re active, working in a physically demanding role, sitting for long hours, or simply noticing that your body doesn’t recover like it used to, sports massage can offer valuable support.

Women Who Walk, Run or Stay Active

You don’t need to be training for an event to benefit.

Sports massage can help with:

  • tight calves and hamstrings

  • hip and knee discomfort

  • overuse or repetitive strain

  • post-activity stiffness

It supports smoother movement, improved recovery, and fewer recurring niggles.

Women With Desk-Based or Driving Jobs

Long periods of sitting can take a toll on the body.

Sports massage can help ease:

  • neck and shoulder tension

  • upper and lower back discomfort

  • postural strain

  • reduced mobility

Helping you feel looser, more balanced, and more comfortable day to day.

Women Who Go to the Gym or Stay Active

Regular exercise is important — but recovery matters just as much.

Sports massage can support:

  • muscle soreness

  • injury prevention

  • improved flexibility

  • recovery between sessions

Helping you stay consistent without feeling constantly tight or worn out.

Women in Midlife and Beyond (40+)

As we move through midlife and hormonal changes, stiffness and slower recovery can become more noticeable.

Sports massage can help with:

  • joint stiffness

  • reduced flexibility

  • muscle tightness

  • general aches and pains

Supporting comfortable movement and confidence in your body.

Women Carrying Ongoing Tension or Stress

Life stress often shows up physically.

Sports massage can help:

  • release long-held muscle tension

  • support relaxation

  • improve sleep quality

  • calm the nervous system

Many clients notice they feel lighter, calmer, and more at ease afterwards.

Women Recovering From Injury or Strain

Whether it’s a recent issue or something that’s been lingering for years, sports massage can support recovery by:

  • improving circulation

  • reducing tissue tightness

  • restoring normal movement patterns

  • helping prevent re-injury

It works well alongside physiotherapy, exercise, or medical guidance.

In Simple Terms…

Sports massage is for women with bodies that work hard — at work, at home, or through life.

You don’t need to be sporty.
You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be pain-free.

If you’re feeling stiff, sore, tight, stressed, or less mobile than you’d like, sports massage can help support your comfort and movement.
